Boothmans customer wins Young Grower of the Year

A Boothmans customer, James Lacey, has won the UK Grower Awards ‘Young Grower of the Year’ competition. His business, L&D Flowers, came into fruition in 2006, a business idea James conceived at the tender age of 22 after having identified a gap in the retail market for the supply of good quality British grown summer flowers. Nine years later and his passion has not wavered and he continues to strive for excellence. The farm, situated in Lincolnshire, totals approximately 300 acres, 1 acre of which is covered in glass and a fully accredited purpose built pack house facilities. This has been a considerable growth from the original 30 acre site, proof of the passion, drive and determination to succeed of this young professional grower in what has been a difficult economical climate in the last few years.
